Texas A&M University-Kingsville

TRUMPET STUDIO - AUDITIONS

The trumpet studio at Texas A&M-Kingsville averages 30-35 students, majoring in music education, performance, jazz studies, and graduate studies. One of the key areas we excel in is the personal attention given to each student. With two trumpet professors, all students are able to study with a faculty member. This allows us to maintain a studio size that maximizes student opportunities without sacrificing individual attention.

Music scholarships are available, however, they are competitive and are awarded by audition. The audition for admission to the School of Music also determines the potential scholarship award.

Prospective Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to visit the campus and arrange a tour, as well as meet with Dr. Millsap. More information is available on the School of Music Auditions page regarding application and admission. The application and recommendation form can also be downloaded below. They can be returned to the department or Dr. Millsap via e-mail or "snail" mail.
